Here are some non-power tools that are extremely useful to have and know how to use.  I am not against all power tools, and some I find almost indespensible (e.g., chainsaw, table saw, and drill press).  I find comfort in not being constrained by access to electricity and that I form a continuum with my ancestors of people who knew how to create what they needed to create a better life for themselves.
